I just wanted to throw this one out there to see what you guys and girls thought. Would be grateful if you could give me any pointers, as to how you think i could improve this birthday card. (please click for an enlarged version)
It was my Dad's girlfriends 50th birthday not that long ago, so i thought i would design her a birthday card she would remember. She was born in Ireland and has a soft spot for Guinness funnily enough so i thought this theme would be appropriate. Have also posted the original image, which i photographed myself having stolen a pint glass from the pub. The pub will remain unnamed!

Love the card, think the concept idea is great and that Marie will love this personal touch. I would have perhaps made all the guinness glasses the same size. Your saying 'live life with passion' but the life is a smaller size glass. This conveys to me a downscale of living life to the max. Overall a good concept which works well with typography.
Good point from chris i second that one the main bit that i focused on was 'misspen youth' and looking at this a bit from Guinness point of view if you were drinking Guinness we'll say for 50 years they would not see it is misspent they would think its a great thing, so maybe you could twist it round somehow to say something like 50 years like no other so still getting a joking emphasis but in a bit of a more positive way.
